Blessed are the meek...

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

We read in Mathew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
As I meditated upon this scripture I was directed to another scripture which says "Be still and know that I am God". And I realised that the meek will inherit the earth by just being available to the command of the Lord God of heaven and earth.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 it says "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Therefore, our part as God's people, who are called by His name is to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. Mathew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." The things that are mentioned are food , clothing and shelter. That is God's part to provide all our needs from His riches in glory. "In Zachariah 6:4 it says "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty."

We see that God, who delivered the Israelites from Egypt, kept His word and provided manna, quail and water for forty years while they wandered through the wilderness. Their sandals did not wear out, their clothes did not wear out, their feet did not swell up nor was there any one feeble amongst them. That was for six hundred thousand men plus women and children and cattle. If God provided for them, will He not provide for us. He has not changed, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Hence, in these last days, it is not by man's abilities or skills or power but by man being in total submission to the will of God; according to the vision given to Zerubbabel of the seven lampstands which stood in its place to receive the continuous infilling of the oil from the olive trees.

We must also stand still and be filled by the word of God which will be taught to us continuously by the Holy Spirit only when we submit to Him. If we keep running around trying to win souls by our own efforts it will not work. That is what the word of God says. "Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit".

God will bring to pass His gracious purposes concerning His church, without any art or labour of man. This is represented by the abundance of Divine Grace, for the enlightening and making holy the ministers and members of the church, and which cannot be procured or prevented by any human power.

Christ is our Zerubbabel. And no mountain of human traditions, or customs will stand up against him. Micah 2:13 says "The breaker shall go before them .." Yes! Christ shall go before us and break up every obstruction that is in the path of the church, the bride of Christ. In 2 Chronicles 7:16 we read "I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there." The edifices or church buildings will not stand forever, because the earth and the heavens will destroyed. But you and I, who are the church of Jesus Christ will live with Him for ever and ever.

In Hebrews 8:10-12 "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

Therefore, my dear meek brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, remember this when you are tempted to tell off your neighbour, or your boss or someone who swerves in front of you on your way to work or to church - "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth". Submit to God and do what He says, that is the secret to our future. We are co-heirs with Jesus Christ and we shall rule with Him if we obey Him and do as He commands.

Looking forward to seeing you with all the saints in the kingdom of God, as we all submit to being lead by His Holy Spirit. Amen

Your servant in Christ Jesus,

Noel Pentony

  1. Amen brother! A great word--may all of God's servants hear and respond by doing these things. And may we look for the grace of God to do so! God bless you for your faithful message.
