It is written ....

Romans 10:9-13 "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame."  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,  for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Romans 8:29-31 "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. ³⁰ And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

 ³¹ What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Thank you Heavenly Father that it is written - that you foreknew us and you predestined us to be conformed to the image of your Son Jesus Christ.  I thank you that those you predestined you called; I thank you that those you called you also justified; and those you justified you also glorified. Amen.

Keep the Fire Burning

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING

                                                 

“The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” Lev.6:12-13

We must spend time in prayer and in reading of the word. Meditate on the Word of God day and night according to the command given to Joshua 1:8 and in Ps.1:3

God's Design and God's choice

I was standing before my son's new motorcycle and admiring the design and congratulated him on his choice.  As I looked at him, I thanked God for for HIS design and HIS choice.  It is written in Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Made in God's own image, what a wonderful and an awesome thought this is.  That we, puny people that we are, whose lives are just a breath of air, were created in the image of Almighty God.  And in our fallen state, while we were still in our sins, HE chose to die for us.  JESUS paid the price for you and me so that we might share the fellowship we had with the Father from the beginning.
Jesus chose us we did not choose HIM.  It is written in  John 15:16 "You did not choose me, but I chose you..." 
I thank God for HIS design and for HIS choice.
